Spider Web Weaving activity is a This is a great way to strengthen fine motor skills by weaving the spider web.

Directions:

  1. Print your choice of a spider web on to card stock.

  1. Cut your web out and hole punch by each “object” around the web. 
  2. Tie a long piece of yarn onto your web at the start area. 
  3. Play with it. Call an “object” each child puts their yarn through the hole there. Then, pull the yarn until it goes always through. Keep doing this until you finish your web.
  4. We sang this spider song as we played.

Adapting to different levels

You may need to adapt the weaving by

  • either dipping the yarn into Elmer’s glue and let it dry
  • taping a small straw on the end,
  • using a yarn needle
  • larger holes
  • use plastic lacing
